Tom is a graduate of St. John Fisher College, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, and is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist having earned his Degree through the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Tom also earned his Decree of Certified Pension Consultant and Qualified Pension Administrator from the American Society of Pension Actuaries. Tom is a former member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Employee Benefit Conference, a current member of the American Society of Pension Actuaries and is involved in numerous community activities. He is a frequent lecturer at various Tax and Employee Benefit Conferences.

Tom’s career in the pension area began with Lincoln First Bank in the Pension Trust Department. Following that, he managed the Pension Trust Department in Syracuse for Merchants National Bank. Tom co-founded Retirement Income Services which later became BCG, L.L.C. The firm specializes in all types of Employee Benefit programs. In the area of retirement planning, the company designs, administers, and provides investment products for some 600 employers, mostly in Central New York. The firm also provides educational programs to both active pension participants and those participants either changing employment or considering retirement.

Tom is a sports enthusiast and lists hunting, fishing and golf as his favorites. He and his wife reside in the Fairmount area.
