John is President and a co-founder of Benefit Consulting Group., Inc. As a graduate of St. Bonaventure University, he earned the Degree of Bachelor of Business Administration. He is a member of the New York State Society of CPA’s, as well as the American Institute of CPA’s.

John spent several years working in New York City with Deloitte, Haskins and Sells. He then began his benefits career at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation in Syracuse, New York. Through various promotions in the Risk Management, Treasury and Human Resource Organizations, John assumed responsibility for the management of all of the company’s benefit programs. He was very involved, usually as the project manager, in the most significant benefit efforts that occurred at Niagara Mohawk. This included the development and introduction of their very successful flexible benefit program for management, and ultimately union represented employees. He was responsible for testifying in any Public Service Rate Cases, and was also one of the principal negotiators in many of the labor negotiations that occurred at Niagara Mohawk throughout his career.

One of the founding members of the Central New York Employer Coalition on Benefits, John has directed numerous RFP’s and other employee benefit design and consulting needs for many of the area’s largest employers. He serves on a variety of Boards and advisory groups and has spoken at various Employee Benefit conferences.
